Request Summary: Within five (5) hours of search, please provide any analysis produced, commissioned or referenced by IRCC since January 1 2016 to July 22, 2019 that address the medium- to long- term impacts of heightened immigration levels, leading to faster Canadian population growth, on any of the following: a) Canada's environmental challenges (e.g. with respect to development pressures, habitat and biodiversity loss, deforestation, water quality and supply concerns and ability to meet carbon emission reduction targets); b) projected levels of population growth and population density in Canada's most population regions (notably southern Ontario, the lower mainland of British Columbia and the Montreal metropolitan area); and c) and urban sustainability challenges in and around Canada's largest cities, including (but not limited to) issues relating to affordable housing, transit and other infrastructure requirements. The desired subject matter may be found within the main text of documents as well as within appendices, end notes or cited references. Please include related materials from reports, notes, memos, discussion papers or email exchanges. Please include any relevant materials prepared by IRCC, as well as those prepared externally for IRCC or shared with IRCC. If no findings are made within 5 hours of search, please advise as to whether more search time may produce results or whether IRCC does not appear to have such analyses on record.
