Request Summary: The number of asylum claims made in Canada on the basis of Sexual Orientation, Gender Expression, Identity, or Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) between the years of January 2019-May 2024 (broken down by year, if possible) -the number of SOGIESC asylum claims that were successful between the years of January 2019-May 2024 (inclusive) broken down by year - the number of government assisted refugees admitted on the basis of SOGIESC claims between the years of January 2019-May 2024 broken down by year -the country of origin of these successful SOGIESC asylum seekers and government assisted refugees between the years of January 2019 -May 2024 broken down by year and as a percentage of the whole SOGIESC refugee and asylum claims for each year. If possible, I would also like to request the distribution by province of where the aforementioned claimants landed upon arrival expressed as a percentage of the whole SOGIESC claimant pool for each year.
