Request Summary: Alterations were made to the search parameters and functionality of the Government of Canada’s main search engine in June 2024. See Request A-2024-00679. In implementing the changes, one or more servers that serve up content from www.Canada.ca would now be obtaining and retrieving search results differently. In the event that computer code was used in the search engine alterations, provide computer source code relating to all changes implemented, including both executable and non-executable code. (The latter category would include code used for documentation purposes.) Alternatively, if software with a graphical user interface was used, provide screenshots highlighting the new settings for the GoC search engine, subsequent to the changes as of June 2024. also include any draft revisions to the source code and/or software screenshots, including any code or settings that were not ultimately deployed in the final release of the modified search engine parameters and functionality as of June 2024. Search dates Oct 3, 2021, to Oct 3, 2024. Also include information pertaining to modifications to search engine prior to June 2024 and within requested time interval
