Request Summary: Ideally, all the information should be divided by region, and per year. Ideally as well, all the information should be divided between cases concerning serious criminality (section 36(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [IRPA]) and those concerning non-serious criminality (section 36(2)(a) IRPA). The data requested is the following: - The total number of individuals found inadmissible on the grounds of a) serious criminality under s36(1)(a) IRPA, and b) criminality under s36(2)(a) IRPA. - The total number of cases concerning individuals inadmissible a) under s36(1)(a) IRPA and b) under 36(2)(a) IRPA, in which the immigration officer did not report to the Minister (i.e. the immigration officer did not transmit the report described in s44(1) IRPA to the Minister). Also, if the data is available, the offence that motivated the inadmissibility declaration. - The total number of individuals inadmissible a) under s36(1)(a) IRPA and b) under 36(2)(a) IRPA, which were reported to the Minister by an immigration officer under in s44(1) IRPA. Also, if the data is available, the offence that motivated the inadmissibility declaration. - The total number of individuals reported for a) 36(1)(a) IRPA and b) s36(2)(a) IRPA, in which the Minister's Delegate did not refer the inadmissibility report to the Immigration Division under s44(2) IRPA (i.e. the Minister's delegate decision was `No Further Action). Also, if the data is available, the offence that motivated the inadmissibility declaration. - The total number of removal orders made by the Immigration Division (s45(d) IRPA) on the basis of inadmissibility on the grounds of a) serious criminality (s36(1)(a) IRPA, and b) criminality (s36(2)(a) IRPA). - The total number of persons removed from Canada, whose removal orders had been issued on the basis of inadmissibility on the grounds of a) serious criminality under s36(1)(a) IRPA, and b) criminality (s36(2)(a) IRPA). - The total number of individuals not lawfully present in Canada (criminally inadmissible-under a removal order because of a Canadian criminal record). Timeframe from 2015-01-01 to 2024-12-31 Remove duplicate copies of documents and emails Only provide the final copy or the latest draft of a document Only provide you with the final email in a chain of emails Mark all Cabinet Confidences as non-relevant Remove any records or parts of records that are not related to the subject of your request
